Twitter Hacked, Defaced By “Iranian Cyber Army”

It was right around 10 pm EST 17th December 2009, that Twitter was hacked and defaced with the message below. The site was offline for a while.I was looking into this and awaiting on a response from Twitter.

The message read:

Iranian Cyber Army
THIS SITE HAS BEEN HACKED BY IRANIAN CYBER ARMY
iRANiAN.CYBER.ARMY@GMAIL.COM
U.S.A. Think They Controlling And Managing Internet By Their Access, But THey Don’t, We Control And Manage Internet By Our Power, So Do Not Try To Stimulation Iranian Peoples To….
NOW WHICH COUNTRY IN EMBARGO LIST? IRAN? USA?
WE PUSH THEM IN EMBARGO LIST ;)

Now after doing a little Research in to the subject the fact which came up was..No!!! twitter is not hacked it seems that only the namespaces of twitter have been hacked.

It seems that the nameservers for twitter have some redirect in effect or some sort of server-side DNS cache poisoning.
Lets see whats the twitter has to say about the same on their blog.
